Bleacher Report’s New Digs
Bleacher Report created a beautiful new office space in Manhattan, complete with parquet floors, stadium signage, and an indoor basketball court. To celebrate their grand opening, we created an art exhibition coinciding with the 2017 NFL Kickoff. The show featured around 40 pieces of work, including 6 new pieces. Gold Van was responsible for curation, production, and creation of the work. The show remained in the space for 6 months.
Manifesto
CULT-URE puts a face on contemporary American culture through a series of portraits that work to capture the “off-court” personas of these icons.
The work focuses on giving viewers a new perspective of popular figures at the nexus of sports, music, and fashion. Images are vibrant and loud, but most subjects are portrayed in thoughtful moments between the action.
This contrast between energy and calm begs the question: how does raw access to public performance shape our perception after the cameras stop rolling? The viewer might examine their own experience with modern culture and what really fascinates them about these characters.
Timothy McAuliffe’s work is created with a range of media from pen and ink, paint, and digital painting.
