Budweiser olympic mural
Role: Art Direction, Concept Illustration
Budweiser’s olympians
To create excitement around the 2016 Olympics, we commissioned a 21,000-square-foot mural along with a celebration in midtown Manhattan ahead of the Rio Games. After working on concept illustrations to help inform the project, we enlisted Malika Favre, the same artist who designed Budweiser’s famous “Lady Liberty” can artwork to create this massive mural.
The mural and unveiling event served as a heroic tribute to each of the sponsored athletes. From May to August 2016, it was seen by over 9 million people. Soaring 225 feet in the air and visible for over half a mile, the mural was one of the world’s largest wallscapes.
