In 2017, Maria Bamford released a satirical holiday special in collaboration with Topic magazine. The series was released in 12 episodes, paralleling the 12 days of Christmas, and arranged like an advent calendar. Gold Van was responsible for creating key art illustrations and an iconography system.

Style
The style would follow a church-like concept, using a stained glass motif and religious iconography with a wink, like Bamford’s pope hat.
Calendar
Each video was released in an advent calendar format, with new ones coming out everyday for 12 days. Our “M” icon was used to tease future days. While after videos were released, a thumbnail of Maria would appear on that date so the user knows which parts of the series are available to watch.
Iconography
The icons were created to represent each of the “gifts” given over the 12 days of Christmas, such as "The Gift of Being a Single Mother”, “The Gift of Mental Illness”, and “The Gift of Financial Ruin.”
